Seiwado is a foundry run by Tada Nobuyuki. Seiwado Mincho typeface places great importance on the flow of characters. It was created with the image of a special atmosphere that emerges between the work and the reader. Pursuing the depth of typefaces for Text, we considered from scratch to create a typeface for Text that prioritizes "ease of reading" and "comfort," and developed the Seiwado Mincho typeface series.
Seiwado Mincho is a new Mincho font for Text, designed by an author who has been studying Mincho fonts for body text since the days of phototypesetters. The beautiful form of the typeface has been evolved from the days of phototypesetters, and the design has been adjusted to have a tighter fit than any previous Text Mincho Text.
We will develop a series of various kana characters to match the highly versatile kanji characters.
