A "font" that has become familiar with computers and smartphones.
It seems that few people recognize that the "fonts" that they usually use casually are created by human hands.
At this Event, we invite Mr. Shigenobu Fujita, a Type Designers who continues to create the "Tsukushi typeface series" that has both traditional and original design characteristics, and talk about his thoughts on font production from the origin of the typeface. You may understand the secret of why the font "Chikushi typeface" in the digital age was born.
In the second half, a cross-talk session will be held with "font creator" Fujita and "font user" designer, with Yasuaki Morita, Associate Professor of Faculty of Commerce, Fukuoka University as the moderator.

I would like to talk about the background and background of how the typefaces of the Chikushi Vintage Mincho released in August 2018 and the Tsukushi Antique Maru Gothic under development were created. In addition, we will also explain the secret stories and hardship stories of 1999 when we started work on Tsukushi Mincho and the transition of the Chikushi typeface series, which has promoted a wide variety of variations, and our commitment to curvaceous beauty.
In addition, in response to the demand for Gothic that suits Futura, we are also prototyping Chikushi typeface groups such as Tsukushi AM Gothic and Chikushi Yusho (?) Shigenobu Fujita
Type Designers
Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1957. Graduated from Chikuyo Gakuen High School Design Department. In 1975, joined Shaken Character Design Department of Phototypesetting Machine Co., Ltd., and in 1998, joined Fontworks Inc. to develop many typefaces including Tsukushi typeface.
Received the 2010 Tokyo TDC Award for "Tsukushi Old Mincho" and "Tsukushimaru Gothic". BOOK designer, graphic designer must-have typeface. The latest typeface, Tsukushi Antique Series, is a design that adds a new breath to traditional Mincho and Gothic typefaces, giving a fresh feeling to the viewer and further enhancing the support of Chikushi typeface.
In 2016, appeared in NHK "Professional work style". In addition, "Fontworks Universal Design font" won the IA Universal Design Award 2016 Silver Award. His book "Design of letters / Fushigi of typeface".
