Speaker information

Yukihiko Mishina

Bandai Namco Studio Lead UI Artist. After graduating from the Department of Sculpture at Musashino Art University, worked as a TV art producer, figure master, and web designer. He is involved in UI design for arcade and smartphone games, centered on the company's flight shooting "Ace Combat Series." The company presides over a GUI portal and collects various technical information and know-how related to UI such as fonts, game engines, and development examples by project. Recent work is "ACE COMBAT™ 7: SKIES UNKNOWN" (2019/PlayStation®4, Xbox One, STEAM®)

Omagari City (Omagari/Toshi)

Born in Fukuoka Prefecture. After studying typography and typeface design at Musashino Art University and earning a master's degree in typeface design from Reading University, he joined Monotype in 2012. He is in charge of important typeface projects for Monotype, such as Neue Haas Unica, which had become a mysterious neogrotesque typeface, and Metro Nova, which is a reprint of the WA Dwiggins classic Metro. He also has a wealth of experience in multilingual Language such as Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic, and Tibetan, and has worked on many enacted typefaces for international brands such as H&M and Premier League. Taking advantage of that knowledge and experience in multilingual typeface design, he regularly gives lectures at Event such as ATypI.
