About fonts

TsukuGo has been developed based on the consistency of design with TsukuMin family released in 2003. It is used in a wide range of applications, including books, magazines, catalogs, and leaflets, and emphasizes the texture of the characters so that it can be used in cases where elegance is required. It is a gothic family of 8 weights designed to be optimal for Text, captions, Heading, and large Heading. The style of TsukuGo combines modern sharpness and clean hardness with classic taste and softness, making it orthodox yet refreshing to the viewer. While emphasizing the "homogeneity and symmetry" that is the mainstream of modern typeface design, it does not lose sight of the fact that "characters are conceived and created while writing by hand," and like TsukuMin Mincho, it allows the hand movement (movement) of "writing" to be expressed frankly in the characters themselves. The ability to see the movement of "writing" is the source of expressive power, which is the mission of basic typefaces to "vividly highlight the meaning of the text." TsukuGo was born from a reexamination of the fundamentals of design, such as the mission and role of Gothic typefaces that can express the modern era, in each of the actions of creating, using, and reading a typeface.
