Fontworks Inc. will start offering new fonts for the annual flat-rate font service "LETS" "New Greco" and "Iwata LETS" from August 27, 2019 (Tuesday).
"LETS" new typeface
Regular type "New Greco" is joining the classic series.
"New Greco" is based on "Greco" and newly supports JIS2004. For the kanji, we have changed "Kusakanmuri" and "Itohen" into modern character shapes that are familiar in Japan. In addition, we have created a new "kana" to match the kanji. It is a "kana" design that is conscious of the natural flow of brush strokes so that it fits clean Kanji characters. It has a resolute yet gentle atmosphere, and can express both strength and delicacy when composing sentences.

"Iwata LETS" new typeface
Heading "Iwata Mingo H" which is the most suitable for Iwata new text typeface with the concept of "less habit and easier to read"
"Stroke order font" has been added.
"Iwata Mingo H", which is the perfect Heading, is a typeface that takes into account the sharpness and readability of the Mincho typeface and the strength and coordination of the Gothic typeface.
The keywords for typeface design are sophistication, sharpness and modernity. We received the 2015 Good Design Award.
The "Iwata stroke order font" is a font in which the correct number of strokes and stroke order of the characters (pencil entry, press, splash, tome) are created in a shape that is easy to understand at a glance. The stroke order font accommodates two types.
・Type A expresses the stroke order for each stroke.
-Type B represents the process of completing the stroke order for each stroke.
From fiscal 2020, the Kanji dividend table for each grade of Japanese language will be changed according to the guidelines for elementary school learning.
"Iwata stroke order font new text typeface" and "Iwata stroke order font text typeface 2020" are accommodated with a Kanji dividend according to these changes.
