Branding tips! Latest font trend seminar
Monotype, specialists in typefaces and type technology, releases their annual Type Trends Report. This year’s report explores how type is connecting with society by examining creative work from around the world and presenting 10 trends.
Ryota Doi, a senior type designer at Monotype, will explain the latest trends in typefaces around the world based on the report. Doi and Shunya Morita, Type Designers at Fontworks, will also talk about trends in Japan and China, touching on actual examples.
There will also be time for a Q&A session on the day.
"2024 Type Trend Report: The Latest State of Type Design"
In this fourth annual report, we explore how type is connecting with society by examining 10 trends and examples from creative works around the world. In keeping with one of Monotype's goals to bridge the gap between creatives and non-creators, we've paired each trend with a familiar musical genre.
Typefaces have permeated a wide range of fields, and they adapt and change shape flexibly as the world changes. We hope that this report will provide an opportunity to reconsider branding for the modern era.
