The Mincho fonts in the Tsukushi font series are different from the traditional Mincho fonts designed in perfect squares, and have pursued Styles that makes use of the inherently diverse and rich shapes of Japanese characters. Among the Mincho fonts in the Tsukushi font series, [Tsukushi Q Mincho] can be said to be the "most innovative Mincho font" and "a Mincho font that goes beyond Mincho font."
The distinctive small, tightly drawn opening and the long, limb-like hiragana extending from it create a dynamic and free-flowing expression that goes beyond the boundaries of Ming style fonts. Together with the handwritten-style kana, in horizontal text it creates a sense of unity and rhythm almost reminiscent of cursive writing, and in vertical text it creates the vertical rhythm unique to the Japanese language.

<Comment from Type Designers Shigenobu Fujita>
Tsukushi Q Mincho is a typeface that has been developed from TsukuAntique Mincho into a more old-fashioned and fresh Mincho typeface. The tight character space and the freedom of strokes are close to those of brush typefaces. While the kanji design of conventional Mincho typefaces has a modern and geometric feel, the kanji of Tsukushi Q Mincho has a mild touch that gives a sense of warmth without losing its sharp feel. The combination of this kanji with "kana" that incorporates handwritten elements allows for highly persuasive expressions with intelligence that surpass conventional Mincho typefaces in Heading and lead sentences. There are two different sizes of characters: "S" small and "L" large.
