Born in Shizuoka City in 1955.
In 1977, Tatsuji Kato presides over Tokyo Ginza Namiki Studio, and begins training in precision lettering with the Mincho Iwanami system.
After leaving the company in 1986, he mainly produced dot fonts for Sony AV equipment.
